tems (MIS) major, with a scholarship on Friday in
the Wehner Building. The CMIS Scholars Program
awarded scholarships to seven outstanding MIS
students on behalf of corporate sponsors USAA.

The journal Callaloo now will operate where the
writing center once was.
“Having this journal on our campus, creates for
us, almost instantaneously, a high national status,”
Oliver said.
Callaloo is the oldest premier journal of
African-American literature and culture. It is
published by the John Hopkins University
Press and edited by Charles H. Rowell. The
journal should be running by this semester,
and Rowell will be teaching classes during
Spring 2(X)2.
The College of Liberal Arts delights in the
recent progress and acknowledges the
University’s commitment toward enhancing its
programs.
“The college is absolutely at the table, as evi
dence of Vision 2020. and as evidence by the
actions that are being taken by the central
