Open-House Public Meetings
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will hold public meetings to present the 2002-2004 Bryan
District Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). The Bryan District TIP is part of a process of selecting fed
erally funded construction projects for the next three fiscal years, but these meetings are also an opportunity to
discuss other, long-range projects. The process is a requirement of the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st
Century. (TEA-21). Three meetings will be held concurrently on Tuesday, December 12, 2000, from 4:00 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m. in open-house format at each of the three locations throughout the Bryan District. The meetings
will be held at the Navasota High School, Hearne High School and the Buffalo Civic Center. Interested individ
uals are invited to attend at any time between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. (no formal presentations will be given).
Any person who has special communication or accommodation needs for attending the meeting or needs specif
ic directions to any of the meeting locations is encouraged to contact the Bryan District Public Information
Officer at 979-778-2165. Requests should be at least two working days before the meetings.
All interested citizens, affected public agencies, transportation agencies, and private transportation providers are
