    CZ> Task Force Organization
Subcommittee Task Forces have been established to address specific issues related to the design, training for, construction and implementation of Bonfire 2002
as well as for enhancing student leadership development opportunities. The Subcommittee Task Forces will be co-chaired by a student and a faculty/staff person
with at least one of the co-chairs coming from the Steering Committee. The Subcommittee Task Forces will be facilitated by Bryan R. Cole, Assistant Vice
President for Quality Leadership. Six initial Subcommittee Task Forces have been identified as follows:
1. Safety
2. Risk Management
3. Student Leadership & Participation
4. Design & Construction
5. Vision for Student Leadership
6. Institutional Culture (This task force will address the issue of Cultural Bias as it was defined by the Special Commission: “Cultural Bias in decision
making is the organizational equivalent of tunnel vision. When this occurs, a legitimate course of action is not considered or is discounted. This Cultural
Bias in an organization is a more powerful behavior-shaping factor than tunnel vision for an individual because members of the group reinforce the traits
that cause the problem.” (Special Commission on the 1999 Texas A&M Bonfire Final Report, Behavioral Factors Analysis Section, p.30)
