“One Thursday night when I
was in a convenience store a man
was saying that it was really quiet
in his neighborhood now, and that
whatever we are doing, we need to
keep it up,” said Sgt. Greg Leeth,
CSPD evening patrol supervisor.
This weekend, CSPD issued 90
citations, including minor in posses
sion, disorderly
conduct by noise
and consuming
during prohibited
hours. The num
bers have de
creased from 210
citations issued
during the task
force’s first week
end patrol.
“We want to
make sure that
kids know that
they are account
able to the law,”
said Bob Wiatt,
director of UPD.
“We are trying to
get the word out to
students that they can’t drink wifi
the age of 21.”
Fifteen people were arrestedt
charges including contributing
minors and driving under the ini:
ence. Forty-five loud party cai
were also reported.
