The PITS cashiering office in Room 117 of the Koldus
Building will be closed for departmental training on June
19 rt ’ and 20 rfl and will re-open for business on Wednesday,
June 21 st at 7:30 a.m. This annual two-day training is an
essential element to our staff development and our prepa
ration for the fall semester 2000. In case of emergency,

REYNOSA, Mexico (AP) — A
Mexican activist who promised
$10,000 to anyone who killed a
U.S. Border Patrol agent last week
has won a protective order keeping
police from arresting him.
Authorities said Carlos Ibarra
Perez had been granted a Mexican
legal procedure that, in effect, pro
tects him from arrest while he’s in
side his home, according to The
(McAllen) Monitor. The order forces
Ibarra Perez to stay inside his
home until all legal issues sur
rounding his case are resolved.
