Y2K News In Brief B-CS community begins festivities The Bryan-College Station com munity will begin seasonal festivities this weekend with the Bryan-College Station Holiday Parade and the Hometowne Christmas Celebration. The holiday parade will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday and will feature 105 en tries. The Ross Volunteers will lead the parade along its route from Uni versity Drive in College Station to Texas Avenue and on to Sulphur Springs in Bryan. The Hometowne Christmas Cele bration in Historic Downtown Bryan will take place today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Live entertainment will be pro vided by the Bryan High School Jazz Band, “His Voice” from Central Bap tist Church in Bryan and the Brazos Valley Troupe. This evidence will become a per manent part of the collection of archives in Cushing. Among the listings are detailed pictures of the Bonfire before and af ter it fell, pictures of the victims and the rescue efforts. Other articles being brought in are notes from meetings and memos from various departments on cam pus relating to safety concerns and plans for Bonfire. Some of these notes date back as early as 1986. All information is open to the pub lic, provided they comply with Cush ing Library’s standard procedures.
