BY MATT LOFTIS
The Battalion
The package includes:
The Texas A&M Student Senate
will discuss the Student Service and
Hecilth Center Fee Approval bill,
problems with the Southside Parking
Garage and a bill calling for the ath
letic department to install machines
that accept Aggie Bucks in both in
side and outside ticket booths to im
prove convenience for students.
Justin Toal, Speaker Pro-Tem-
pore and a senior agronomy and
business major, said the Senate is
also considering a bill which
would increase the per-semester
hour student service fee from
$10.92 to $11.62 and the Health
Services Fee from $48 to $50.
Toai said the Senate will discuss
moving current polling sites. The sites
in question are those at the Wehner
College of Business Building on West
Campus and Sbisa Dining Hall.
Toal said the bill would move the
Wehner polling site outside to the
front of the building and the Sbisa
site to the front of All Faith’s Chapel,
weather permitting.
Toal said that other issues were to
be discussed at tonight’s meeting,
but in light of the Bonfire collapse
discussion will be postponed.
“With Bonfire, everything has
been put off and placed on the back
burner so that we can for]
resources on the tragedy,"

meeting and recommended to the
Faculty Senate that grade distribu
tions not be allowed to be posted via
the Internet.
Harding said the Faculty Senate re
turned the recommendation to the
AAC for further debate, while advising
the AAC to hear more student input.
Harding said the Faculty Sen
ate’s main concern is that if the
grade distributions are published
without additional information,
students may not be able to make
a fully informed decision about
which class to take.
“A grade distribution alone does
not say very much about the actual
context of a course,” he said. “Stu
dents should look at other sources of
information to figure out if the class
is right for them.”
Student Body President Will
Hurd, a senior computer science ma
jor, said the Student Government As
sociation will present a recommen
dation to the AAC for a package of
information to be displayed which
include student evaluations, syllabi
and professors’ comments along
with the grade distributions.

Counseling
Continued from Page 1
Birch said the collapse impacted
clusters of students, like those in the
Corps of Cadets and students from sev
eral of the Northside residence halls.
Due to the nature of the tragedy
and its profound impact on victims
associated with these clusters of stu
dents, Birch said SCS has conducted
16 group stress debriefings to help
students cope with their losses.
“We try to normalize the reactions
of these students,” Birch said. “Any
one can get frightened by the inten
sity of the sadness and the sorrow
that accompanies such a tragedy.”
Birch said part of normalizing re
actions allows students to understand
that sadness and frustrations are a
natural responses to such an event.
“We try to let them know what
they can do to take care of them
selves in the grieving process,” he
said. “It is important to keep life as
normal as possible, to exercise and
to relax.”
Part of that normalization means
returning to the daily routine of
classes, Birch said.
