A Chance for Peace?
A panel of speakers will discuss the threat of nuclear conflict
between India and Pakistan, focusing on the lasting instability
in the Kashmir region, where the boundary between the two
countries has been debated since the countries’ independence.
The speakers will also examine the chance for peace that now
exists between the two powers.

Cities of Character, a program designed
to promote positive character traits in
members of the community from youth to
civic leaders, is being reviewed by the Col
lege Station City Council and is the topic
of a presentation and luncheon today at
the College Station Conference Center.
Leaders from Texas A&M and the
Bryan-College Station community will form
a focus group to evaluate Cities of Char
acter, a broad-based civic program which
has already been adopted in Temple and
Burleson.
The program is designed to improve the
attitude in the community by including area
businesses, schools and city government.
