NEW YORK (AP) — Neve Campbell could
have been a kissy-face contender.
The “Party of Five” actress told Cos
mopolitan that a kid named Larry was the
first boy she kissed. It happened on the
playground one day in her Ontario home
town of Guelph.
“I was, like, 6 years old, and we were hav
ing a kissing contest in school, to see who
could kiss the longest,” Campbell said in the
magazine’s October issue.
“And Larry had had a peanut butter sand
wich, and he had the worst breath on earth.
And I was mad at him the rest of the day be
cause we lost.”

Costner’s baseball skills
LOS ANGELES (AP) — When it comes to
baseball movies and actors portraying
ballplaye'rs, announcer Vin Scully has seen

Scully said neither Gary Cooper, who
played Lou Gehrig in the 1942 Pride of the

the 1948 Babe Ruth Story, was believable.
He was not too sure about Costner in Bull

be the best.”.
