back we have gotten, plus the
biggest Midnight Yell in years, I
think we can count on this week
end accompanying the first home
game in the future.”
First Yell activities ended with
a barbecue at O.R. Simpson Drill
Field before the game.
Tase Bailey, a senior aerospace
engineering major and former
Corps of Cadets commander, said
the events gave him a chance to
see his parents and get ready for
the game.
“My parents are here, there is
good support, and this is a perfect
time for our big weekend,” he
said.
“The atmosphere is friendly,
and since A&M doesn’t have a
homecoming weekend or any
thing like that besides Bonfire,
First Yell is a perfect way to get
everyone together.”

applies to current employees who
change jobs and move to different de
partments or offices within the Uni
versity.
Before someone is eligible for pay
roll, prospective employees affected
by the law must present their Selec
tive Service registration card, Potts
said, or the University can contact the
Selective Service database to confirm
an employee’s status.
A certificate of mailing can be ob
tained from the Post Office and will
be used as proof of application until
an employee receives his registration
card.
Michele Henley, the coordinator
for student employment at the Stu
dent Financial Aid, said federal law
already requires Selective Service reg
istration in order to receive financial
aid for college. Henley said there are
over 13,400 student workers at Texas
A&M including about 1,000 students
in college work-study, but is unclear
how many will be directly affected by
the new policy.

“Rob was an exceptional pilot,
and I would not hesitate to get on
a plane with him in the pilot
seat,” he said.
“It was a wonderful plane
[and] in kept in excellent condi
tion.”
He said 27-year-old Futch re
ceived this skydiving trip as a
birthday present from her brother.
McHam said he is not sure if
Ags Over Texas will stay in busi
ness, but he would not hesitate to
use the company again.
Coulter Field and Ags Over
Texas have no affiliation with
each other or the Texas A&M Uni
versity System.
