“As a 1997-98 freshman senator I met
so many people I never would have come
into contact with [otherwise],” she said.
“I am still friends with people I met dur

Divine said candidates should meet as
many people as possible during elections.
“I went door to door with flyers,” she
said. “Candidates must realize what a
time commitment it is to run and hold an
office, but meeting other members of
your class makes the whole experience
so fun. ”
Lindsey said the whole election
process is fair and organized.
“Running was so scary, but the process
was very easy to follow,” she said. “I have
a lot of pride in A&M, and this is one way
that I can give back to the University.”

said the ISA wanted to present many

“The turnout was good, but we
wanted more people to come out
and get to know the people of dif

good start for a new tradition, here
at A&M.”
