Perez, winner of Best of Show for his black

Perez used five photographs of the same
male subject displaying different emotions to
create the single photograph in which the sub
ject is simultaneously participating in activities
including talking to a girl, playing a guitar and
looking around the room.

Tsuchiya, the People’s Choice Award win
ner for his colorful painting of a cow, “Got
Milk?,” said the project was originally required
for a class.
“The idea came from a photograph of a cow
in an ad, and it looked fun to me,” Tsuchiya
said. “I wasn’t trying to communicate much
with this painting; I just thought it was the
most fun painting I have ever done.”
