Lewis said he can talk and listen to students on a personal level. “Some [Student Government As sociation] members do not think about what the students want but what they want, themselves,” he said. “I am someone who wants to do what is right for the student body. ” Dr. Nancy Dickey, president of the American Medical Association (AMA), will speak about challenges associated with succeeding in a “man’s” profession today from 12:30-2 p.m. in 206 MSC. Dickey, a board certified family physician from College Station, was elected president-elect of the AMA in June 1997 and became presi dent in June 1998. Dickey is also the program di rector for the Brazos Valley Family Practice Program associated with Texas A&M. Dickey received her undergradu ate degree from Stephen F. Austin University and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, which later presented her with the Distin guished Alumni Award. Dickey has also been involved in the College Station community as a youth soccer coach and a mem ber of Christ United Methodist Church.
