Fifty delegates will attend the
third annual Christian Leadership
Conference (CLC) at Camp Lone
Star in La Grange this weekend.
According to the CLC Website, the
purpose of the conference is to “pro
vide an arena where Christian student
leaders can unite and seek Christ to
gether for the sake of His glory. ”
Iris Saldana, a senior community
health major, said the conference’s fo
cus this year is found in John 17:22-
23. The verse is about Jesus’ last
prayer, when he prayed for his believ
ers.
“CLC is based around unity with
in the body of believers and in God’s
glory,” she said. “We break down de
nominational and other boundaries,
learning to live a life like Jesus’,” Sal
dana said.
Dr. Ben Welch, director of student
activities, and Frank Cox, class of ‘65
and former yell leader, will also
speak.
Saldana said leadership with a
Christian perspective is all about being
a servant.
Speakers at the conference in
clude Stuart Hall, director of student
leadership for Reach Out Student
Ministries in Georgia; Marilynn
Giles, owner of Christ and Common

Mary Ann Ricca, a senior adviser

careers.
“Students, whether they are fresh
men or graduate students, learn to
communicate and talk to people in
other companies,” Ricca said. “The
process of preparation is really a good
experience for the students.”
The Texas A&M Business Student

“Students are now learning to plan
earlier and earlier,” Ricca said. "The
