The holiday began in the 12th
century when St. Valentine be
gan the seasonal trend of tolerant
adoration and affection by re
belling against the advice of “old
man Thurmond” and partaking
in a unique blend of western Eu
ropean herbs, fruits and wines —
later known as Funky Cold Medi
na.
The first step toward Valen
tine’s Day bliss is to ask for a
date.
For some, however, a face-to-
face inquiry is intimidating. This
is where a note comes in handy,
especially when tied to a stone
and hurled through the recipi
ent’s bedroom window. This
practice may seem outlandish,
and rightly so, because of its ex
treme call for attention.
This was not always the case.
During the European Renais
sance, notes were fastened to
birds instead of rocks, but animal
rights activists objected to birds
being thrown through windows.
Valentine’s Day is also an ex
pensive holiday, second only to
Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa.
Like its luxuriously extravagant
winter holiday competitors,
Valentine’s Day demands that
gifts be exchanged between two
or more individuals.
Since the cost of a gift is in
dicative of a relationship’s
worth, they become expensive!
A dilemma arises from the
fact that the moneybag is still de
flated from late-December shop
ping to the time those pink
hearts and cherubs line the aisles
of the supermarket.
Do not despair. Here is a way
to remedy a depleted pocket-
book: if low on cash, remember
that poorly guarded banks and
convenience stores are simply
loan centers in disguise!
She will be impressed that a

the cash to buy her a lousy box
of candy. After all, like dia
monds, “a felony is forever.”
Even if apprehended, there is
a good chance that there are
plenty of potential Valentine’s
Day sweethearts to be had in
prison!
So after attaining the funding
one needs to celebrate Valen
tine’s Day, there exists the task
of determining what to buy.
The traditional gift is a box of
candy, which is truly the best in
vestment because it indicates
that she does not look fat, other
wise she would not be receiving
chocolates.
It is recommended purchases
be made on products without the
phrase “nut cluster” on the box
for obvious hygienic reasons.
Some other candies to be
wary of include rat poison
shaped gumdrops, gummy pants
and Dallas candy manufacturer

oriented this year.
