Gurule, a convicted killer from Corpus Christi, continued to evade capture Monday, three days after scaling fences at the Ellis I Unit, about 80 miles north of Houston. With 17,000 acres surrounding Ellis and the neighboring Estelle Unit prison, authorities have a wide expanse to comb.
