Clayton converted the free throw to give the Aggies
a five-point cushion. Centenary again climbed within
two points on a layup by Law with just under four min
utes to play, but A&M would respond with a 3-pointer
by Clayton off an offensive rebound by sophomore
guard Michael Schmidt to extend the margin to five.
Clayton would add another 3-point basket and
two free throws in the final minute and a half to seal
the victory.
