Her extra playing time might
be due to her improving numbers.
She is averaging 1.09 kills per
game and 2.25 digs per game.
She is second on the team in total
blocks and blocking average.
“She’s a never-say-die com
petitor,” Corbelli said. “She is a
consistently hard worker, very
intense and brings a lot of inten
sity to the court.”
McWhirter’s role as a middle
blocker is primarily to block
opponents and to be the decoy
attacker. Corbelli said she has
good court awareness and a
knack for anticipating the
opponents attack.
“She’s one of our best block
ers,” Corbelli said. “She has a
good sense of blocki
