All of this came on the heels of a five-game marathon match against No. 13 Texas Wednesday. “Personally, it’s hard to get that hyped for a game following Texas,” Sykora said. “They (Kansas State) were digging a lot of balls and were coming after us tonight.” Junior outside hitter Summer Strickland and junior middle blocker Amber Woolsey both had solid nights for the Aggies. Woolsey was one block short of a double double, collecting nine blocks to go along with 11 kills. A quick start by Strickland led to 10 digs and 8 kills. “I thought Summer Strickland started off very aggressive and did a great job with her game,” Corbelli said. “Amber Woolsey turned up her game in the mid dle of game 2 for us.” The win improved the Aggies record to 10-2 and 3-1 in the Big 12 Conference.
