of this show. It is going to be great.”
Grogan said with the great cast of
singers and great production makes
for wonderful entertainment.
“The choreography is clever and
fun and gets the audience in

the emotions of the songs and draws
the audience into the performance. ”
She said with songs ranging
from ballads to rock ’n’ roll, there
is something for everyone.
“Rock ‘n’ roll changed music
forever,” Grogan said. “Leiber
and Stoller were the architects of
rock, and we are just celebrating
their music.”

Steamroller
— Mariam Mohiuddin
Continued from Page 6
The communication between the two and the
band’s rhythm section (Nathan Hickman on bass and
Brandon Elizondo on drums) is so seamless it’s easy
to understand why Steamroller is an Austin favorite.
The band has released two albums on its own
Redwood Records label. Steamroller in 1995 and
Cabin Fever in 1997. The latter reached #2 best-sell
ing local album at Austin’s Tower Records in less
than one week, no small feat considering virtually
all of its competition was backed by a major label.
Although Steamroller remains fiercely indepen
dent (the band is “effectively self-managed” ac
cording to its press kit), it seems the guys are do
ing remarkably well for themselves without the
support of a label or any outside management.
