Cramped quarters in dormitoi
On-campus residents find overassigned living chalk

Dorm life is a situation many
freshmen encounter upon entering
college; none are prepared for the
overassignment issue which has be
come a continuing problem each fall
at Texas A&M.
The freshman that is living with
two other roommates typically do
not know about it until after ar
riving at the residence hall.
Brittany Boggs, a freshman in
Underwood Hall, said she did not
know about her overassignment
until she saw a third nametag on
her door.
“No one told me or my room
mate about the overassignment that
is living in our room,” Boggs said.
“I was shocked and aggravated
when 1 found out because no one had
told us about our third roommate. ”
An issue that is important to
many who are overassigned is the
loss of space that comes with three
people living in a dorm room

There are plans to

Rogers said the
changes bring the Sbisa
out of the ’70s.
The dining facility was
redesigned to maximize
dining space
ty of diners.
“By redesigning the
kitchen, we can move
food to the fast food area
and then to students more
efficiently,” Rogers said.
While the changes to
the facility are appreciat
ed, some patrons would
like to see further
changes implemented.
“The changes are very
nice, however some
healthier food would be
great to go along with
these changes,” said
