"I like living in Bryan," she
said. "Off of Harvey road there
is so much traffic and so much
commotion. I enjoy the peace
fulness of Bryan. The apart
ments between the two cities are
also the same. In College Station
they may look better on the out
side, but that is superficial. The
inside of both are the same."
Coulthurst said many people
have complaints about Bryan,
but she finds it to be cheaper.
"It was much easier for me to
find an apartment in Bryan,
because most people choose
College Station," she said.
"College Station is more expen
sive. The utilities and apartments
in Bryan are a lot cheaper.
"Some say that it is too far
from campus but they are just
making a big deal about that,"
Coulthurst said. "This is Bryan-
College Station not Houston
where it would take an hour to
get anywhere. It might take you
a little more time, but how
much more? About five min
utes. It all comes down to what
you need and what you want."
There are many solutions to
the lack-of-residency problems
in Aggieland, and students
have to be willing to search
and to look at other possibili
ties. If no apartment can be
found, the dorm solution
always is an option.
