Continued from Page 3
The premise that was created in
order to give the story a plot prob
ably would have worked better as
a bit on "Saturday Night Live." But
instead, hapless moviegoers are
subjected to 82 minutes of Norm
MacDonald's monotone, emotion
less acting.
Some of the revenge bits are
funny (pray your archenemy is not
watching), but most of the film is
watching MacDonald reprise his
"Weekend Update" persona.
As the picture rolls on, it
becomes clear that there is no plot
and by the end of the movie, you
feel like getting revenge on some
one for having spent $5.75 on Dirty
Work. (D-)

The Horse Whisperer
Starring Robert Redford and
Kristin Scott 1 homas
Playing at Hollywood 16
The Horse Whisper is an enjoy
able movie but is not like the liter
ary version, for those who have
read the book would expect. The
Horse Whisperer is set in Montana
and is the love story of a New York
magazine editor (Kristin Scott
Thomas) and a cowboy (Robert
Redford). The editor's daughter
has an unfortunate accident while
riding her horse.
The scenery is the best asset of
the film. The film runs long, so one
might not want to see this film late
at night. Overall, The Horse
Whisper is a good show, but it
might better enjoyed in the com
forts of the home on a VCR. (B-)
