Cotton Bowl head
named from A&M
The Cotton Bowl Athletic Associa
tion named Texas A&M University
graduate Fred McClure as chairper
son for the bowl. McClure served as
one of the vice-chairpersons on the
Southwestern Bell Cotton Bowl Board
of Directors for the last two years.
He served as the Texas A&M
Student Body President while earn
ing his degree in Agricultural Eco
nomics in 1976.
McClure also filled the role of As
sociation of Former Students Vice
President and was appointed as a
member of the Board of Regents in
1995 by Governor Bush.
"For 62 years, this game has
been a part of America’s greatest
sports traditions," McClure said.

Southwestern Bell Cotton Bowl
Classic is mentioned, Dallas and
the state of Texas automatically
come to mind."
