He is Founder and President of the Evangelical Association for the Promotion of Education (EAPE). EAPE does extensive work among high-risk young people in urban America. Tony is also the Associate Pastor of the multi-ethnic Mount Carmel Baptist Church in West Philadelphia. He is the author of numerous books, including Twenty Hot Potatoes Christians Are Afraid to Touch, The Kingdom of God is a Party, You Can Make a Difference, and Carpe Diem. A personal preaching favorite of President Clinton, Tony was invited by the President to preach the sermon for the Inauguration Morning Prayer Breakfast in 1996. He has also appeared on Bill Mahr’s Politically Incorrect.
