M.T. “Ted” Hopgood, commandant of the Corps of Cadets, presided over the cere monies. “Out of the Corps of Cadets come many outstanding individu als,” he said. “The former cadets we honor today have truly excelled.” Dr. Ray M. Bowen, University president, said he recognized the val ues the Corps instills in its students. “The Hall of Honor serves two purposes,” he said. “It is to honor outstanding former cadets and to teach a high standard of leadership. The Aggies we recognize today will help point the way for the future of the Corps.” Eight former cadets were select ed initially for the Hall of Honor.
