Soccer loses to
Baylor 2-1 in OT
Wanted six tickets to Kansas State/A&M game, October
18th. Call (940)872-2161.
The No. 3 A&M Soccer Team
was stunned by a 2-1 overtime loss
to Baylor University, Sunday after
noon, at the rain soaked Baylor
Soccer Complex. Baylor’s Christina
Nguyen received a pass from Britt
Talley and scored the Bear’s game
winning goal at the 95:20 mark.
Baylor’s Nikki Hales controver
sial goal at 23:46 gave the Bears
an early 1-0 lead. The ball appeared
to have been shot into the outside
of the net, but the linesman over
ruled the center officials original
call, giving Baylor the advantage.
Freshman forward Nicky Thrasher
posted the Aggies’ lone goal on a
pass from freshman midfielder Katie
Offut at the 78:28 mark to send the
game into overtime.
With the loss, A&M falls to 12-2-
0 overall, 8-1-0 in the Big 12. The
Aggies can do no worse than tie for
the Big 12 Championship, but with
a win or a tie versus Colorado in
College Station October 26, A&M
can win the trophy outright.
