Women’s Bonfire Committee: A gen

Student Counseling Center: There will
be a discussion session for interna
tional students from 5:15 p.m. to 6:30
p.m. in 104 Henderson. Group is for
international and domestic students
who wish to interact and share their
cultural heritage and to learn about the
Aggie culture. Different topics will be
discussed each week. For more infor

Health Awareness Fair: Everyone is in
vited to attend “Health Under Con
struction” from 10 am to 2.pm. Free
health screenings will be available, in
cluding HIV testing and body fat mea
surements. Over 50 campus and com
munity organizations will participate.
Canterbury - The Episcopal Student
Center: Holy Eucharist and dinner will
be held at 6:15 p.m. at 902 George
Bush in College Station. Contact Mark

Texas A&M Women’s Rugby: Prac
tice will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at
the rugby pitch by the Bonfire site.
New members are welcome and no
experience is necessary. For details,

Texas A&M Rugby: Practice will be
held at 6 p.m. at the polo fields across
from Bonfire. No experience necessary

AMSA REGIONAL CONVENTION
OCTOBER 17-19TH

The AMSA Region IX Fall Conference will be held at the University of North
Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth from October 1 7-19'\ Features
include Osteopathic Medicine, Alternative Medicine, a panel on HMO’s
and the Vanishing Health Care Dollar, Spirituality in Medicine, Trends in
Admissions, and the Changing Face of Medical School Curriculum. Also,
throughout Saturday and Sunday, the Teaching Assistants for the UNT-HSC
TCOM Manipulative Medicine Course will be available to demonstrate
osteopathic manipulation.
Attending the convention is a great way to meet other premeds, medical
students, and doctors who can offer important advice ranging from inter
views, to medical schools, or particular specialities. Those who sign up
and pay early will receive an $8 discount on registration. Those who sign
up at the door will need to pay an additional charge. An AMSA T-Shirt is
included with all registration fees.
Registration Fees:
Sign up early within a group of ten: $ 12
(Early registration deadline Oct 10 at the cubical)
Sign up after Oct 10 th : $20
Pay at the door: $20 + late fee
Registration fees do not include housing or transportation.
