INTERNAL MEDICINE The Division of Internal Medicine is staffed by specialists in internal medicine who are trained to diagnose and treat simple as well as complex medical problems of adults. Internists do not deliver babies, treat children or perform surgery. However, they do treat almost any other type of medical problem. When need ed, the internist will ask for a consultation from other medical or surgical specialists to help manage a patient’s problem. Dr. R. David George R. David George, M.D. is a member of the Division of Internal Medicine at Scott & White Clinic, College Station. Previously, Dr. George was on the teaching staff at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. While there, he received the Outstand ing Clinical Professor Award for 1994-95, 1995-96, and 1996-97. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with honors at Texas A&M University, Dr. George received a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy at the University of Texas. He gradu ated from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and ^completed an internship and res idency in internal medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor. He and his wife, Judith Ann, are the parents of Eric and Gregory. In his spare time, Dr. George enjoys family activities, golf, hunting and fishing.
