“Throughout the years we’ve
started taking those wins for
granted,” Crowley said. “When we
walk on the field, we were expect
ed to beat people. We were ex
pected to win. That kind of took us
down the wrong direction from
the stand point of just going out
there and taking over the game.
“I think this year we’re getting
some of that back. We’re going out

taking the game from people and not
just going out there expecting to win.’'
Johnson said the team will be bet
ter off if heeds the advice of Crowley
and the other veterans.
“People like he and the fifth-
year seniors on our football team
are a very, very valuable resource
for the fact they’ve been here
through the whole process of be
ing on top and dropping off,”
Johnson said. “Those are the guys
that know what it’s all about.”
