LAWRENCE, Kan. — The Texas
A&M Men’s Tennis Team came up
short this weekend in its fifth Big
12 game against the Kansas
University Jayhawks, 4-3.
Kansas began early, capturing
the doubles point by winning the
No. 1 and No. 3 matches. The A&M
team of freshmen Brent Horan and
Tony Young won the No. 2 doubles
match, 9-8 (7-5).
A&M rebounded in singles play
by winning the No. 4, No. 5 and No.
6 seeds. Horan defeated Luis Uribe,
6-2, 6-2, and freshman Gonzalo
Anderson defeated Byron Maier, 6-

MANHATTEN, Kan. — The Texas
A&M Baseball Team picked up some
ground in the Big 12 Conference
race this weekend, after sweeping
the doubleheader against the
Kansas State Wildcats Saturday.
The Aggies won the first game of
the afternoon doubleheader by
scoring a run in the top of the ninth
inning to win, 9-8. Freshman phe-
nom Casey Fossum picked up the
win after pitching two innings in
relief, allowing no runs and throw
ing three strikeouts.
