A heating strip on a freezer door malfunc tioned and caught the door on fire. The strip normally prevents the door from freezing to the frame. The fire was contained to the door, which was the only damage. Ron Beard, director of Food Services, said all the food had to be removed from the freez er, but none of it was ruined. Two exhaust fans were placed at the dining center doors to help remove smoke. Beard said the kitchen would need a thorough clean ing to remove soot, before it could be used to prepare food on Friday. ► State Galveston announces new leaders for Corps of Cadets New leaders for the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M at Galveston were announced Wednesday, Feb. 26, in a change of command ceremony. But it marks the first time it has been usedjl to reproduce animals so closely akin to humans. “Everyone is really excited about the poten-i tial of this and I think it’s going to make for much,! much better science, and much better experi-H ments,” said M.
