Prior to the new service, the off-campus Reveille bus route serviced the Blinn campus, making it the third to last stop. The entire route to and from A&M was allotted 36 minutes. Michael Hutney, assistant manager for Shut tle Bus Operations, said the Blinn portion of the Reveille route is being discontinued. The Blinn campus will be serviced by its own shuttle. “We’re providing better service for Reveille pa trons and still providing service to Blinn patrons as well,” Hutney said. The Blinn shuttle route will run Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. The bus stop at Blinn will be located in front of the campus. Because of Blinn’s abbreviated class schedule on Fridays, the bus route’s Friday hours will be shortened from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The new bus stop is directly across from the on-campus Reveille bus stop on Hogg Street. The Reveille bus will run in an eastbound di rection while the Blinn shuttle will go in a west bound direction. The Centerpole bus route, “We’re providing better service for Reveille patrons and still providing service to Blinn patrons as well.” * Michael Hutney Asst, manager, Shuttle Bus Operations which has an on-campus stop on Asbury Street at the corner of the Northside parking garage, will take over the Blinn route and run from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Reveille will resume serving the East 29th Street and Briarcrest Drive area in Bryan. Jeremy Drager, a bus driver and senioii cultural economics major, said many™ passengers complained the route tooktoo| with the addition of the Blinn stop. “It took an extra six minutes on thealreal minute route,” Drager said. He said it can be hard to decide wheilj keep the Blinn stop on the Reveille routei make different routes instead. “It’s really trial and error on all theseroi Drager said. Continued from Page 1 Rick Powell, coordinator for Stu dent Legal Services, said a bar tender charged with selling to a mi nor can face jail time or a fine. Bartenders are required to have Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commis sion certification through a course on alcoholic beverages. In the class, bartenders learn about the effects of alcohol and when to stop serving someone. A business can lose its liquor li cense or face sanctions such as fines, if found liable for misconduct of serving alcohol. If Hurricane Harry’s is found li able, it will lose its liquor license and may have to close down. Kendall Bonds, a senior agrono my major, said he visits Hurricane Harry’s often. “I would hate to see Harry’s shut down,” Bonds said. "But action needs to be taken to prevent any incidents such as this from happening again.” Hurricane Harry’s owner Gary Seaback was unavailable for comment. Dancers Continued from Page 1 James Flora, vice president of the Aggie Wranglers and a senior wildlife major, said the dance squad has an extensive resume. In addi tion to repeated appearances on TNN, the group performed at the 1994 World Cup soccer cofnpetition and the 1996 NBA All-Star game. Flora said the Wranglers also per form every year at the MSC Variety Show, the Muster Barbecue, the Bevo Burn and at the State Fair of Texas during Texas-OU Weekend. Flora said the group’s recent trip to Nashville was a memorable experience. “We had a really good time,” he said. Senate Continued from Page 1 The fifth proposal, altering the size of the Senate, will be decided by the Senate. The consensus of the Sunday night group was to decrease the size of the Senate, without eliminating residency seats. Suggestions included decreasing the number of off-campus senators from the current 18 seats to nine or four senators and adding at-large Senate members. The bill will be drafted this week before the Senate’s Wednesday night meeting when it will be pre sented for first reading. At the Feb. 6 meeting, students and members of Student Govern ment discussed different ways to improve the Senate. The Senate’s internal affairs team compiled the results of the Feb. 6 meeting and drew up the proposal presented at the forum Sunday. Childers said the meeting al lowed people attending to openly discuss ideas and suggestions with out feeling threatened. "I think it (Feb. 6 meeting) was probably the most productive meeting Senate has had all year,” Childers said. Those who attended were divid ed into small discussion groups each led by a Senate officer. Each group discussed three is sues concerning the Senate. The first issue focused on different ways to make Senators accountable to their constituents. The next issue concentrated on what requirements Senators should have before election and during their term in the Senate. The final issue addressed the best process for filling vacant seats in the Senate. Each Senate officer turned in a written report of their group's sug gestions and ideas after the meeting.
