KERRVILLE (AP) — A sobbing Dar-
lie Routier affirmed her love for her
sons and recounted unusual events
that occurred before they were at
tacked as she testified Wednesday in
her capital murder trial.
“I am a very proud mother of three
wonderful, gorgeous, healthy boys,"
Mrs. Routier said, reading to the jury
from her personal journal.

Prosecutors claim she was angry

slashed herself to cover the crime.
Mrs. Routier, 27, contends an in
truder attacked her and her sons.
Her trial was moved to Kerrville be
cause of publicity in North Texas.
Describing her relationship with
her sons, Routier said she and her
husband, Darin Routier, enjoyed tak
