Since the referendum will
not be implemented by Student
Government action, a group of
students started a petition
Thursday regarding yell leader
run-off elections.
The students need 10 percent of
the student body to sign the peti
tion. If they get the required
amount of signatures, another
vote will be held on the elections.
This referendum would not
need the Student Senate’s ap
proval to be implemented. The
students’ goal is to get 5,000 sig
natures and 1,300 were gathered
by Sunday afternoon.

Individual fraternities had dif
ferent rush functions from Jan. 16
to Jan. 23, such as bowling and date
parties, to help rushees decide
which fraternity would be the most
suitable for them.
The Rush Kickoff was at Hurri
cane Harry’s on Jan. 15.
On Jan. 16, an IFC Rush Semi
nar was held to give rushees in
formation about the different
fraternities.
Vroonland said the seminar
focused on the “responsibilities
of Greek life,” and stressed that
fraternity members were “Aggies
First.”
