Michael Beckendorf, who
owns duplexes and fourplexes
in Bryan-College Station, had a
complaint filed against one of
his rental properties.
He said the OCSS file is a fair
system because it allows both
the landlord and
the tenant to
voice their side.
“I think it (the
Resident Reaction
File) works pretty
good,” Beck
endorf said.
“It lets resi
dents give their
side and lets the
landlord give
their side, and
lets them (the
students) decide
for themselves
who’s right.”
The file has
been offered as a
also promoting the service so stu
dents will use it more.
Hodges said the file is used
primarily for complaints, but they
are trying to encourage students
to submit compliments.
Currently, 17 complaints and
no compliments are in the file.
“A lot of times people like to
complain more than they like to
compliment,” Hodges said.

resource to students for more
than five years. Recently, the
process has changed to make it
easier and more accessible for
students.
The OCSS wants to put a box
in the MSC so the forms can con
veniently be deposited. They are
although OCSS
employees
“have a pretty
good idea of
what some of
the nicer areas
are to live in,”
they cannot
give students
their opinions.
Decanini said
more students
would use the
file if they knew
it existed.
“It is (a bene
ficial service] if
a lot of them (stu
dents) knew what it was,” she
said. “I know I had no idea we
could complain.”
The file is in the OCSS re
source room.
Compliment or complaint
forms may be mailed, faxed or
picked up in 112 Koldus.
Michael Bonner, a tenor in
Voices of Praise and a freshman
computer engineering major,
said a group of women were
“saved” during the
women’s seminar
and many in the
men’s seminar felt
they had been
blessed as well.
“They learned
about how they can
apply the Gospel to
their witnessing
lives,” Bonner said.
“Everybody that
came out to the
seminars was hap
py. They felt reju
venated.”
After the semi
nars, Pastor James
Turner presented a
mid-day sermon,
ministering to stu
dents about the Word and be
ing under the influence of the
Holy Spirit.
Following the seminars, a re
hearsal was held for A&M and the
other university choirs to practice
together for the evening’s concert.
Bonner said the choirs were
privileged to have Charles Ty
