Three ways to
beat the high
cost of college.
1. The Montgomery Cl Bill
2. Student loan repayment
3. Part-time income
The Army Reserve Alternate
Training Program is a smart way to
pay for college.
First, if you qualify, the Mont
gomery GI Bill can provide you with
up to $6,920 for current college ex
penses or approved vo/tech training.
Second, if you have—or obtain—a
qualified student loan not in default,
you may get it paid off at the rate of
15% per year or $500, whichever is
greater, up to a maximum of $10,000.
Selected military skills can double that
maximum.
Third, you can earn part-time
money in college, and here’s how it
works: One summer you take Basic
Training, and the next summer you
receive skill training at an Army
school. You’ll earn over $1,500 for
Basic and even more for skill training.
Then you’ll attend monthly meetings
at an Army Reserve unit near your
college, usually one weekend a month
plus two weeks a year. You’ll be paid
over $105 a weekend to start. It’s
worth thinking about. Give us a call:

The No. 26-ranked Texas A&M
Women’s Tennis Team will try to
keep its Southwest Conference ti
tie hopes alive when the Lady Ag
gies host No. 47 Southern
Methodist today at the Omar
Smith Tennis Center.
The dual match begins with the
singles matches at 1:30 p.m.
The A&M-SMU dual is the first
match in a four-match homestand
that will close out the Lady Aggies’
regular season. A&M’s last five
matches, all victories, have been
on the road.
“It seems like we’ve been on the
road a lot lately, and it is good to
be back on our home court,” Lady
Aggie Head Coach Bobby Klei
necke said. “We’ll finish out our
regular season schedule at home, I
think every team feels more com
fortable on its home court.”
With two SWC matches re
maining on their schedule, the
Lady Aggies have posted a 41
record against the SWC and
stand second to the Texas Lady
Longhorns in the conference
standings.
“Obviously this is a very impor
tant match for us,” Kleinecke said.
“For us to have a shot at the SWC
title, we have to take care of our
business against SMU.”

“From a coaching standpoint,!
would rather have him place con
sistently in the Top 10 than place
highly in a couple of tournaments
and not make it in the Top 20 of
others,” he said. “I like consisten
cy because it helps the team."
Fenimore has shown that
consistency so far in the spring
when he finished tied for second
place in the Taylor Made Red
River Classic and ninth place it
the Windon Memorial Classic
Fenimore’s play has not only
earned the team a national
ranking, but also a No. 18 rank
ing for himself.
Fenimore credits a strong
swing and experience with hi;
success.
“Right now, I’m hitting the
ball well,” he said. “I’m alsoalot
smarter after playing over the
last three years. Now, I cat
sometimes beat someone just
with smart play.”
