is approved. Student Government will operate as usual.
If disapproved, the constitution will be revised within
the organization.
“If not approved by the students, the constitution would
be taken before the Student Senate and student body pres
ident to be retooled,” he said.
“Then we would run it by the students again in another
referendum.”
Chris Reed, Student Senate speaker pro tempore and a
junior finance major, said he sees no reason why the con
stitution will not be approved.
“This is not controversial,” he said.
“It just gives the basic framework of how the Student
Government works.”
Reed said he hopes students approve the referendum.
“It would be very tragic if students voted no to this ref
erendum,” he said, “because then the Student Government
would be null and void until reorganized, and the students
would be without a voice or representation.”
Run-off elections will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Thursday at the MSG, Evans Library, the Wehner, Kle
berg and Zachry Buildings, the Commons and the Un
derground.

Forty students representing SO
BS organizations are members of
Resurrection Week committees.
Klawitter said that any evan
gelical Christian organization is
allowed to participate and plan the
week’s events, and everyone is in
vited to attend.
Both Woodward and Klawitter
stressed the fact that although
everyone is allowed to attend the
activities, a group must believe in
the same fundamental beliefs as
Resurrection Week committee mem
bers to fund or organize the events.
A group of Mormon students of
fered to help organize the first
Resurrection Week, Woodward
said, but were turned down. Since
Mormons’ basic foundation of be
liefs differ from evangelical Christ
ian groups, he said, they cannot
organize Resurrection Week.
Resurrection Week’s main source
of funding is the T-shirt sale.
Churches and campus organizations
donate money, but no funding
comes from the University.
Stephanie Sutton, a sophomore
general studies major, is a coun
selor on the Resurrection Week
discipleship committee.
A counselor’s job is to talk to
students after events are over,
presenting the gospel to them.
“I think Resurrection Week has
made me examine what I believe,”
Sutton said.
“Resurrection Week has helped
me affirm my own beliefs and giv
en me an opportunity to share my
faith with others.”
