Right For Me! Right For You!

After having my second son I could not lose the weight I had gained during pregnancy. No
matter what 1 did, it seemed like I was never going to fit into my “pre-pregnancy” clothes. I
tried exercising at home, but it is very hard to stay motivated when you are exercising by
yourself. At my first visit to Jazzercise Cathy encouraged me to give it a chance, and not to
be discouraged when I didn’t see immediate results. Cathy also informed me that it would
take about 6 to 8 weeks to see a significant difference. Well, I stuck to Jazzercise and have
been going steadily about a year now. It seemed like the more I went the more 1 wanted to
go. 1 have met lots of people, had a lot of fun and, hey, I lost 33 pounds! It was work to
lose the weight, but it just seemed like “play” instead. Jazzercise offers different types of class
es with such a variety of music, so you never get bored. I am so pleased with the results of
Jazzercise. I have gone from a size 11 to a size 5! That’s 4 1/2 inches off my thighs and 9 inch
es off my waist! Jazzercise has shown me that exercising doesn’t have to be a chore. As long
as I am able I will be Jazzercising! Cathy can sign me up.

M ost people would agree
that Texas A&M is best
characterized as a conser

Yet diversity and acceptance
remain goals of higher education,
and a group of A&M students is
working to pursue these ends.
The Agnostic & Atheist Stu

to education and philosophiciL^
consideration of religious and 5
other beliefs.
The group holds weekly meet

turing guest speakers and o
discussions on a variety of.

free will to concepts of God. Also,
AASG speakers talk to campus
classes and organizations about
atheism and agnosticism.
Jamie Henderson, AASG
president and a senior English
major, said the meetings draw
people of many different reli
gious persuasions who come to
discuss their beliefs or learn
about other people’s views. She
said many people at A&M don’t
understand what atheism and
agnosticism involves.
“Being an atheist says noth

right or wrong,” she said. “We
don’t [promote] any particular
ideology or way of living.”
