Branndon Fricks, a seventt grade student at Jane Lonj Middle School, said the gyro scope was one of his favoritt exhibits. “It was so fast, the wayil made me turn,” Fricks said.1 learned that for every pusfc there’s a pull, and for every pull there’s a push. “I liked the physics exhiki! because it’s interesting to fm out about the way things move' Abigail Reid, a senior physic; major, said the main focus oftb; physics department’s exhibn was to get children to questiot and understand physics. “We want the kids to asi why things work the way do,” Reid said. E-Day at the Mall sponsored several children’s contests, in cluding a bridge-building con test using popsicle sticks and glue, a tower-building contest using 30 straws, and a paper airplane contest to see which airplane could fly the farthest. Each contest was divided into an elementary school divi sion and a junior high school division, and the top three win ners in each were given a sci entitle prize. Other events will be held at A&M to celebrate Engineers Week. On Monday, a sumo wrestling match will be held the Zachry Engineering Center Lobby from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A free World Wide Web sem inar will be held Tuesday atC p.m. On Wednesday, the annua! Pool & 42 Tournament will be held at Sidepockets at 5 p.m., and Thursday, the Student En gineering Council and the Business Student Council participate in a debate.
