Murray said Camp Daywti a sentimental experiencefei him because he met up witholi friends at the Sky Ranch boott He was a camper at Sky Rand for nine years. Some students who attends! Camp Day said they havi worked as summer camp selors before and are for a similar experience summer. Jenny Abies, a sophomore gffl eral studies major, has workedat a Christian camp in Hot Spring. Ark. She said the experience was a positive one and would like an other shot at it. “It would just be a fun breai to be around kids,” Abies sa “I’ve done it before, and y make a lot of friends.” Taxes Continued from Page 1 she said. “That way, if there ever a question as to when it ar rived, all we have to do is pull it up on the computer to show it got there on time.” Dr. Clair Nixon, an A&M ac counting professor, said that electronic filing is not necessary for those who have fairly simple tax returns and access to a per sonal computer. “You can go into almost any bookstore and buy a PC-based 1995 tax package for somewhere between $29 and $49 that is up datable every year,” Nixon said “It prompts you, fills out the form for you, and makes sure that you don’t make any mathe matical errors. “It provides you with a com pletely filled-out tax form ready to send to the IRS, so you really don’t have to know much about taxes to file.” Nixon said that if people have only their own incomes to clak it should take no longer thanld to 15 minutes to complete theii tax forms. The IRS has a page on the World Wide Web where people can find earned-income credit rates and tables and answers to the most frequently asked in come tax questions. The Web site is http://www.ustress/gov/trea s u ry/bureau Yi r 3/i rs. html. The deadline for filing taxes is April 15 at midnight. Gramm Continued from Page 1 Southern states, or retreat and make one last-ditch effort in South Carolina, which holds the first Southern primary on March 2. At one point, Gramm said he would end his campaign if he did not finish in the top three in Iowa, but backed away from the statement in the weekend before the Iowa caucuses. New Hampshire held little promise of a rebound for Gramm. He has lagged in the single digits in the polls, behind Dole and multimillionaire pub lisher Steve Forbes. In recent weeks, . commentator Pat Buchanan and former Ten nessee Gov. Lamar Alexander have been vying for the third spot here while Gramm’s nuna hers have remained stagnant. With moderates leaning to ward Dole, Forbes or Alexander, Gramm has been left to compete with Buchanan for the smaller bloc of social conservatives in New Hampshire. While Buchanan has re mained loyal to New Hamp shire, Gramm angered many Re publicans by failing to rebuke efforts by Arizona and Delaware to encroach on New Hamp shire’s first primary. Gramm gave no inkling of his impending decision during s speech earlier Tuesday at a Con cord business luncheon, where he attacked Buchanan’s protection ist stance on trade. “We have let errant nonsense and second-rate thinking pass as real thinking and real policy on this topic,” he said. Gramm can’t blame a lack ol money for his poor showing. He had raised $25 million coming into the campaign, but critics say he has not used his money wisely'
