incidents were reported
to the University
Police Department
between Sept. 8 and
Sept. 12, 1995.
Indecent Exposure
Systems Loop - A nude man was ob
served operating a vehicle on the Sys
tems Loop.
Driving While Intoxicated
North Bizzell Street - An intoxicated
motorist was arrested and incarcerated
in the Brazos County Jail.
Misdemeanor Theft
Memorial Student Center Bookstore -
The victim advised his backpack and
contents were stolen from the MSC on
7/27/95 and recovered later in the day at
the Wehner Building. The only item
missing was his checkbook. The victim
did not report the theft at the time. Re
cently, he discovered several of the
checks were forged in the Bryan and
College Station area.
Engineering/Physics Building - A blue
Murray 10-speed bicycle was stolen.
Memorial Student Center - A black
and brown backpack with the word
“Outdoor” in white letters on the front
was stolen. The backpack contained the
victim’s wallet, checkbook, blue spiral
notebook, black vinyl personal organizer
and a textbook. The wallet contained
$80, the victim’s drivers license, tele
phone calling card, insurance card, a
discount card and several bank deposit
slips.
Langford Architecture Center - The
victim’s third floor locker was entered
and a drafting box containing a variety
of drafting supplies was stolen.
Read Building - A purple and green
10-speed Magna Glacier mountain bicy
cle was stolen.
Disorderly Conduct
Administration Building - A citation
was issued to a subject detected urinat
ing in public.
Post Office Parking Lot - Two individ
uals were issued citations for urinating
in public.
Parking Area 2 - A citation was issued
to a subject detected urinating in public.
Public Intoxication
Post Office Parking Lot - An intoxicat
ed subject was arrested and incarcerated
in the Brazos County Jail.
Moore Hall - The investigating officer
assisted the Texas A&M Emergency
Medical Service with an intoxicated sub
ject. Due to the subject’s high level of in
toxication, he was transported to a local
medical facility for treatment.
Psychology Mall - An intoxicated sub
ject was arrested and incarcerated in the
Brazos County Jail.
Public Intoxication/Possession of a Con
trolled Substance (Marijuana)
Hensel Drive - Two intoxicated indi
viduals found parked on Hensel Drive
were arrested. A small quantity of sus
pected marijuana was also discovered
with the individuals. They were trans
ported to the Brazos County Jail and
incarcerated.
Criminal Mischief
Parking Area 19 - It appeared from
the evidence at the scene that the dam
aged hood and trunk along with the
shattered rear window were caused by
someone throwing a rock striking the
victim’s 1992 Honda Accord.
Burglary of Habitation
Mosher Hall - The victim’s dark green
wallet containing $250, two personal
checks for $90, a $70 gift certificate, two
telephone calling cards and a checkbook
cover was stolen from the victim’s first
floor room.
Assault
South Side of Sbisa Dining Hall - The
victim was returning to the guard room
when two or three males began to ha
rass her. They pulled at her hair, her
name tag and other uniform decorations.
She repeatedly told the individuals to
leave her alone. She fled the area and
ran back to the guard room to report the
offense.
Assault/Stalking
Kyle Field/Recreational Sports Center
- The victim notified this agency that on
9/2/95 she was near the north end zone
of Kyle Field when a former acquain
tance grabbed her right arm. She ad
vised the subject to leave her alone and
pulled out of his grasp. She walked away
from the subject to end the contact. On
9/11/95, the subject approached the vic
tim as he was leaving the Recreational
Sports Center. She told him she had
nothing to say to him. She re-entered
the Recreational Sports Center and left
by an alternate route. The victim does
not believe the subject followed her as
she left the facility for a second time.
Minor in Possession of Alcoholic Beverage
Parking Area 54 - Two citations were
issued.
Parking Area 2 - Citation issued.
East Side Crocker Hall - Citation
issued.
Post Office Parking Lot - Citation
issued.
East Main Circle - Citation issued.
University Drive - Two individuals
were issued citations.
West Luther - Citation issued.
Making Alcohol Available to a Minor/Mi
nor in Possession of Alcoholic Beverage
Parking Area 39 - Two citations were
issued.
Minor in Possession of Alcoholic Bever
age/Possession of False Identification
Citation issued.
Fire
Sbisa Dining Hall - In response to an
activated fire alarm, the investigating
officer was informed grease in a fry oven
had ignited. The oven’s fire suppression
system extinguished the blaze. College
Station Fire Department personnel
checked the area and turned off the fire
suppression system. Smoke damage was
sustained to the oven.
Kyle Field - An individual was work
ing with a microtorch in a first floor
room. When the torch was put away, it
apparently struck an object in the stor
age area and reignited. The subject left
the room for a moment. When he re
turned, he discovered a box was on
fire. The torch was shut off and the
fire extinguished.
Harassment
University Police Department - A call
was received from an unknown man who
made several threatening statements to
ward a University Police officer.
Burglary of a Vehicle
Parking Area 56 - A rock was used to
shatter the driver’s side rear window of
a 1990 Pontiac Grand Am in order to re
move a brown purse that was stored be
hind the driver’s seat. The purse
contained several credit cards, a
checkbook and an assortment of other
personal property.
