PARKING UPDATES
New Parking Areas Open:
* PA 103 and PA 104 at the Recreational Sports facitlit are designated for com
muter (blue) and reserve (yellow) parking. These lots are also University Business
lots for vehicles with "B" and/or "UB" overlays. Parking garage permits are not
authorized in these lots unless they have "B" / "UB" overlays.

SPECIAL INFORMATION
THE FOLLOWING CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE TO IMPROVE OUR SERVICE:
I.
* PA 98 is a good reserve (yellow) lot for vehicles with appropriately designated
permits. The gates on this lot will be raised at 6:30 p.m. each business day and at
12 noon on Saturdays. The gates will remain up all day on Sundays. Students may
park in this lot (with permit displayed) when the gates are raised.
* PA 18 is a gated reserve (yellow) lot for vehicles with appropriately designated
permits. The gates on this lot will be raised at 5:30 p.m. each business day and on
weekends. Students may park in this lot (with permit displayed) when the gates are

Our new hours of operation are as follows:
• Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m. - 12:15 a.m.:(both on and off-campus)
• Friday: 7 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. (off-campus)
7 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. (on-campus)
• Sunday: 6:30 a.m. - 12:15 a.m.

* On Agronomy Road, north of Raymond Stotzer Parkway PA 52 (blue) has been
paved and painted. We will also be opening PA 110 (blue) next to the Purchasing
building as soon as paving and painting is complete. These parking lots are intend
ed to serve commuter students attending classes at the College of Business, College
of Medicine and the Vet School. . ' ‘ A v . ■>
Our regular night service hours (Monday - Thursday) have been
increased. They are:
• 6:30 p.m. - 12:15 a.m.
• The hours for Sunday are 6:30 p.m. - 12:15 a.m.
• The hours for Friday are 4:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. (off-campus)

low) lot for vehicles with appropriately designated permits. The gates on this for

Beginning Monday, August 28, our Dial-A-Ride service will
provide on-campus service only. The off-campus service will
be absorbed by our new night service hours.
The Dial-A-Ride hours are: Sunday - Thursday 6:30 p.m. - 12:1 5 a.m.
v V /vFriday 6:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. :
* PA 72 is now a pay visitor parking lot. The parking fee is $.60 per hour, $4.80
per day. 'he middle entrance lane at the cashier station should be used for
reserved viator parking. Daily visitor traffic should access the area via the outside
lane.
IV. The TRADITIONS route has been canceled. The two new routes
that will provide service for the areas are AGGIELAND and
OL' SARGE. The following is a list of the stops covered by each route.

* There aresome modifications to the parking regulations, especially in the areas
of reserve mmbered spaces, timed parking, loading zones/docks, visitor parking,
bicycle violaions and paring permit fees. We encourage you to take time and read
the new broaure.
* The lightingupgrades for PAs 2, 3, 5, 9, 25, 26, 40, 42, and 63 were completed
this summer.
* Resident stucent parking area 88 was resurfaced this summer. Other lots were
scheduled for nsurfacing but delays postponed the completion of these parking
areas until next ummer.

* Parking areas 37, 46, 48, 56, 62, 63, 69, 71, 89, 91, 95, the University Center
Garage Levels 1 & 2, and the new Recreational Sports lots 103 & 104 are designated
for reserved parking for the Texas Aggie home football games. There are six scheduled
home games and ai vehicles must vacate the areas by 6:00 a.m. on the morning of the
game. PTTS officers will secure and monitor PA 61 (across from Cain Hall) for vehi
cles with resident sUdent permits (red) on each home football game day.
* Remember that the "Aggie Express" shuttles from PA 50 to Kyle Field on home foot
ball game days. Shutle service begins two hours prior to the game and buses run for
One hour after the gane.

PARKING PERMITS:
* A convenient drop bo< has been established at Suite If 8, Kbldus Building, for indi
viduals who wish to return their permits or bus passes for a refund. Please place the
permit/pass in the drop box, and a refund will be processed and added to your fees if
you are a student, or a check will be processed and mailed forfaculty/staff. Refunds
may take up to six weeks for processing. « ;
TEXAS A&M UNIVERSITY
* Beginning August 28, 1995, Night Permits and Special Option Permits (University
Housing, Park-N-Ride, and Grounds) may be prorated and refunded.

* If you have a faculty/staff permit that is damaged from exposure to the sun, please
bring the permit to to Suite 118, Koldus Building for a replacement permit at NO
CHARGE. The cashiers open at 7:30 a.m., Monday through Friday, and they remain
open until 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and Fridays until 3:00 p.m. We sug
gest that faculty/staff obtain replacement permits after the first two weeks of the semes
ter to avoid standing in line.

VISITOR PARKING NEWS:
* The rate for visitor parking has increased in all visitor parking facilities to $.60 per
hour $4.80 per day.
Thanks to your cooperation and patience, this fall’s move-in activities for
our resident students was expedient, ^e have received letters and calls
from grateful parents who appreciate the gracious manner in which their
children were welcomed to Texas A&M.
* New visitor parking facility on west campus has opened on Agronomy Rd. in front
of Wehner Building and Reynolds Medical Building.
TRAFFIC
Pcfes exiting from west campus parking areas 18, 73, 86 and 98 please follow
our suggested egress routes. Traffic heading west or south should exit the parking afeas
via Horticulture Rd. to Discovery Drive or Research Parkway. Vehicles going east or
north should exit Adriance Rd. There will be no left turn from Adriance Rd. onto
Raymond Stotzer Parkway.
This Positive reception for the students was due in part to the faculty and
staff who park in areas close to the residence halls giving up their spaces
to allow for more convenient unloading of vehicles. PTTS sincerely
thanks you for this generous gesture. Thanks also to the employees of
Resident Student Housing, Physical Plant, University Police, University
Relations, and Food Services for their unending good humor and coop
