Owen Ross, RHA president, said the award was well-de served and credited Lyons’ bid for a large part of the success. “There’s no question we de serve this award,” Ross said. “But for this award, presenta tion goes for a lot. Without that, this couldn’t have hap pened. I was impressed with Suzanne’s work.” Ron Sasse, director of Resi dence Life and Housing, said the award only confirmed what his department has known for a long time. “It’s not a surprise by any means,” Sasse said. “It just confirms what a pleasure it is to work with these students. We’ve talked to several col leagues and found out we’re spoiled by the students we get to interact with.” Dr. J. Malon Southerland, vice president for student af fairs, said the award reflects the work of student programs on campus. What’s Up Monday mation call Heather at 696-2653. If they won this award every 10 years, that’s good, but not great. I think this shows the consistency of our programs and that’s important.” Ross said he wants future RHA’s to take this year’s achievements one step further. “I really hope that fu'tun RHA’s will look at this and$6 what we’ve accomplished,” Ros said. “Hopefully, this will moti vate them to go beyond what we have accomplished andkee; improving.” Lyons said the award was; benchmark for future RHA’s act compared the past years to vast fields with unlimited possibilities “This award says ‘It’s you; job to do better if you can, Lyons said. “In the past, we’vi been standing in a field of p* tential, not knowing whichwa is north. “Now, not only do we have compass, but we have a path Now, future RHA’s will have navigate that path.” onda O U The Dive lem ake TOK rned und It, th evid dead! owde( Hun th a are i archc e are 7 p.m. in 624 Blocker.
