The sad thing about a case like this, Wanda said, is that even if the person is found, it is not very likely he will spend much time in jail. Julie is currently considering the possibility of returning to school, but Wanda said they are still looking at other options. “Julie would like to return to A&M, but with the situation still unresolved, we are not really comfortable with that idea,” she said. Julie is preparing applications for other schools outsiae the state of Texas, but Wanda said they are being very particular about where she might go. She said officials at Texas A&M have been very helpful in cooper ating with the particulars involved with transferring, and they are be ing very careful in helping to as sure that Julie cannot be found. Wanda said although Kevin’s actions have had terrible effects on Julie and all of the Dalton fam ily, the case has actually pulled the family closer together. “For the most part, I think it has given us a new appreciation of our family,” she said. “It has re newed our faith.” The University Police Depart ment and the College Station Po lice Department are still lookinf ids for leads in the Julie Dalton cm and are encouraging any one who has any information in the caselo come forward.
