Jaedicke, a former student, said
it’s gratifying to see faculty and staff
participating in the campaign.
“Most of the faculty and staff
spend a great deal of their lives here,”
he said. “So it’s good to see the fac
ulty, not just the former students,
giving some back to tire University.”
The Capturing the Spirit cam
paign has already raised more than
$367 million, which does not in
clude any money from the state gov
ernment.
Prescott said the campaign is
ahead of schedule in its fund-rais
ing efforts, and he expects to reach
the S500 million goal.
“We have reached 73 percento !
our goal in 72 months,” he said.
