Scott Tom —for Senior Yell Leader
Howdy Aggies! My name is Scott Torn. I’m a junior political science
major from Sugar Land and a member of Company F-2 of the Corps of
Cadets. This year I am running for re-election as a Senior Yell Leader. It
was an honor and the greatest opportunity of my life to serve as Junior Yell
Leader. However, I am not running for re-election because of last year, Tm
running to make this next year the best it can be. When Aggies Irxtk down
on the field, or court, they want to sec five guys working as hard as thev
can to keep the crowd going. Aggies want to see the class and hospitality
tm which A&M prides itself exhibited by the Yell Leaders when they speak
to groups of fellow Ags or to people who know nothing about A&M at all.
Finally, Aggies want five guys who will work together as Yell Leaders, not
for themselves, but for the students, athletes and traditions of Texas A&M.
This is why I'm running for re-election and asking for your vote to make
next year better than ever. My name is Scott Tom, #3 on the ballot, for re-
election as Senior Yell Leader. Thanks for your time and Gig ‘F.m!
Ron MO —for Junior Yell Leader
Howdy Ags! My name’s Ron Mo, a sophomore marketing major from
Irving. I'm here to electrify, excite and unify the University.
Texas A&M should resemble a keychain with many keys in it. When you
any a keychain, you know that each key' serves its own function and purpose.
A&M is a worid-class university with 43,000 diverse students. Like cadi key,
every student is unique and goes about his or her life as to serve a special
puqxrse. A&M is that keychain that brings all Aggies together. •
I want to be a role model yell leader, but most important, I want to be
seen as a real person, a person that people an relate to as an achiever and a
friend.
There are many risks to campaigning for yell leader', but if you want
something bad enough, you'll risk almost everything. Because, to place your
ideas, your dreams before a crowd Is to risk their loss. Risks must be taken,
however, bcausc the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. People who risk
nothing may avoid .suffering and sorrow, but they cannot leant, feel or grow.
So go out there, tell people about me and vote. I represent 96% of the
university which doesn’t get represented very' often. I want to make a
difference in yours and other peoples’ lives so you can go to sleep knowing
that there is another Aggie out there along side of you supporting you every
step of the way.
Vote for the one that’s breaking down all barriers. Ron Mo for junior yell
leader-unifying the University in the spirit of the 12th Man.
Dave Frazier —for Senior Yell Leader
Howdy Ags! My name is Dave Frazier. Many of you have seen mv
Super Dat e signs around campus. I am a civil engineering major, Fightin’
Texas Aggie Class of ’95. Whoop! I am from Karnes City, a small town
about 60 miles south of San Antonio. I have always been involved with the
people around me from participating in all high school sports to being a
volunteer firefighter. The ability to not only to help hut leading lias always
been very important to me. It is something that I am gtxxl at and take a lot
ofpiidc in.
I am especially excited about the next .sch<x)l year. I am a very big
sports fanatic and love to beat the hell outta t.u. I enjoy going to all the
different sporting events. Texas Aggies have had an incredible year in
men''- and women's baskclhall and finally the Fightin' Texas Aggie baseball
and track team. Our recent invitation to the expanded Big Eight has fired
me up with Aggie Spirit. I want every Aggie to feel the fire and pride I carry
inside of me. Twant to start the spark and fuel the fire that will burn
eternally for the rest of our lives. As a Yell Leader, I will have the
opportunity to show my enthusiasm in front of the Fightin' Texas Aggie
12th Man. I have the ability and the power to do all this and much more.
My goal is to represent the entire Aggie family and to inspire those who
have not yet seen the power and tradition of Texas A&M. Gig ‘Em Ags.
Jeff Heath —for Senior Yell Leader
Howdy! I'm Jeff Heath, a junior marketing major from Buda, Texas and
a member of Company E-2 of the Corps of Cadets. There is something very
special about the pride that we, as Aggies, take in Texas A&M. Every'
tradition that we take part in was built by that pride and continues ttxlay
because of it. I had the opportunity last year to represent Texas A&M as
Mascot Corporal and escort Reveille to all athletic events. Through dial
experience, I met students from many different universities and found that
there is no other school that has the student support or involvement dial
A&M docs. I also found that not very many people know about it. I know
what it takes to represent the 12th Man. and I am running for Senior Yell
Leader because 1 think that this next year is a very important year for us.
The achievements that we arc making in all our athletic programs arc
causing a lot of schools to keep an eye on us, especially those Big Eight
schools. They arc all going to be watching to sec who we arc and what the
12th Man really is. Next year, I want the 12th Man to show them that, no
matter what the event, we arc going to show up with all of the love and
pride that we have and there there isn't a thing that they or anyone else
can do about it! Jeff Heath, #5 on the ballot. Gig ‘Em!

Ballot No. 3
Brian Dl Paolc —for Junior Yell Leader
Ballot No. 2
Howdy Ags! My name Ls Brian DiPaolo, and I want to be your next junior
Yell Leader. The position of Yell Leader at Texas A&M University has the
power to motivate and influence our student body. Using that influence, I
promise to make a difference here in Aggicland. Thethcr it is to motivate the
Fightin' Texas Aggie 12th Man or talk with a fellow Ag walking home from
class, I wish to make a lasting impression on Texas A&M that will keep the
Spirit of Aggicland burning forever. I've been at Texas A&M for almost two
years now, and I have already gained many lasting memories. My first Silver
Taps, standing on the last row of the third deck of Kyle Field, and watching
Bonfire bum knowing that one of my logs was on the stack... these are only
a few of the memories that will live with me forever. Because of all that I have
gained from my life here at Texas A&M, the position of Junior Yell Leader is a
great opportunity for me to give back to Aggicland. I will put forth even'
effort to make the experience of all Aggies as special as my own. Anyone can
attend class and be a college student, but it takes a whole lot more to be
Fightin'Texas Aggie! Gig‘Em.
Henry P. Hewes —for Junior Yell Leader
Howdy Ags. My name Ls Henry Hewes, and I’m running for Fightin’ Texas
Aggie Junior Yell Leader. I’m in the class of 1996, Wlxxtp! I’m originally from
Gulfport, Miss., and I'm taking construction science. I'm a proud member of the
Fightin' Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets. Being an out-of-state student, Texas A&M
took me in and made me a part of the Aggie family. That's what it’s all about Ags:
Taking a total outsider and engulfing him in the Aggie Spirit and Pride. Those
arc two tilings that an t be explained. It’s what you feel in your heart, and it’s
w+iat makes you get chills down your spine when the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band
plats the Aggie War Hymn. That’s something that you can t put into words, just
something you experience in what we dariy hold in our harts as Aggicland.
Tm going to tell you two reasons why you will want to vote for me for Junkir
Yell. I love to meet people! Through every old Ag, future Ag and every non
A&M student I meet, I want them to kxik through my eyes and sec the love and
respect that I have for Texas A&M. 1 want to represent you, the 12th Man, as the
most visible person on ampus, a Junior Yell leader. Number two: Texas A&M
has given me so much spirit, pride, friends, and education, and most of all family.
1 just want a chance to give a little something back. So remember on Wednesday
and Thursday to vote for the person that will represent you will all his hart and
soul that revolves within and around Texas A&M. Tm #4 on the ballot and #1 in
Texas A&M's hats. Spread the News, Vote for Hewes. Gig‘Em.
David Kemp —for Junior Yell Leader
j
'XvMZy : k
Ballot No. 3
Howdy Aggies! My name is David Kemp, and I am an industrial
engineering major from Sonora, Texas. I’m running for Fightin' Texas Aggie
Yell Leader Class of 1996. Tm a proud member of the Corps of Cadets ami am
in Company K-l. Being a first generation Aggie, and also being from a small
town, I found myself completely overwhelmed by the Aggie Spirit that was
shown to me by all the Ags that 1 met. The (list time I walked onto ampus,
and everyone said "Howdy" to me. there was no doubt in my mind that there
was any other university that could compare.
Aggie traditions arc what sets A&M apart from any other university in the
world. I would like to share the feeling of pride thail get when "Taps” is
softly blown, the chills that I get when the Fightin' Texas Aggie Bands takes
K\1e Field, and the feeling of belonging to a big family when 1 walk on campus
and everyone saw “Howdy." 1 want to share all of these things with fellow
Ags, non-Ags and future Ags. I feel that the best way to spread the Aggie Spirit
is to be a Junior Yell leader
1 hope that all Aggies feel the way 1 feel about Texas A&M and use some
of that Aggie Spirit and get out and vote. Remember David Kemp #3 on the
ballot. Thanks for your time and support. Gig‘Em.
Mike Tippit — fo r Junior Yell Leader
My name is Mike Tippit, and I'm the #5 candidate on the ballot for Junior
Yell. Some of you may know because I was Schumacher Hall Crew Chief for
Fightin' Texas Aggie Bonfire 199.3. Whoop!
I am a sophomore rangeland ecology and management major from
Georgetown and a member of the Class of 1996. Having lived on campus for
the past two years, I have noticed several different ways to get involved in
Texas A&M traditions and organizations. I believe that the key to the success
of Texas A&M lies not only in the efforts of its leaders but also in the
involvement of the student btxly.
I have been l<x)king forward to coming to A&M for a long time and I
decided before I amc here that I was going to leave this sduxtl a better place
than it was when I got here. This university has done so much for me that
I've decided it's time for me to do something in return.
My goals as a Yell Leader for Texas A&M arc to get more people involved
in traditions and organizations, to increase attendance at all sporting events,
and to try' my best to gel to know as many different people’s names as I
possibly can. Tm an extremely motivational person who Ls ready to repraent
the student btxly and Texas A&M tihe best I can. Get out and vote for #5.
Mike Tippit, for Junior Yell, on March 30 and 31.
