ty this weekend for a two-day
meeting that included more than
200 speakers, one of them a Nobel
Prize winner.
The event was a combination
of the fall meetings of the Texas
Section of the American Physical
Society, the Texas Section of the
American Association of Physics
Teachers and the Society of
Physics Students of Texas, Okla
homa, Louisiana and Arkansas.
Dr. Joe Ham, A&M physics
professor, said the meeting was a
great opportunity for the profes
sors, students and high school
teachers .who were in attendance.
The workshops offered teach
ers the opportunity to learn about
changes in the field of physics, as
well as innovative approaches to
teaching, he said.

ing made it a good experience for
everyone involved.
