Sorority Rush
ends with 575+
pledged Aggies
By Cheryl Heller
The Battalion
Texas A&M University's Formal Fall Sorority Rush
1993 ended Saturday evening with approximately 575 Ag
gies accepting pledges, Pannellenic President Stephanie
Johnson said Saturday.
"Rush went great this year, and it was a beneficial ex
perience for the majority of the people who participated,"
she said. "The Panhellenic attitude was very positive
among the sororities."
Panhellenic Rush Chairman Julie Coffman said this
year's Rush was the largest the University has seen since
1989.
"The high registration could indicate that the accep
tance of Greeks at A&M is growing in Panhellenic spirit as
well as Aggie spirit," she said.
Open bidding opportunities are available now and
throughout the semester for some sororities, Coffman said.
