Early voting begins today in B-CS community
Early voting for Bryan-College Station resi
dents begins today and runs through April 27
for the May 1 city-school and statewide elec
tions.
Voters may choose from two different loca
tions to vote in both the city-school and
statewide elections.
Early voters in the special statewide elec
tion conducted may choose from five voting
locations: MSC Room 138, College Station
School Administration Offices, Brazos County
Courthouse, Brazos County Arena Hall and
the Galilee Baptist Church.
College Station residents voting early in
city-school elections may do so at the College
Station City Hall training room. Bryan early
voters may cast their ballots in the Bryan Mu
nicipal Building lobby. Early voting polls will
be open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m.
to 5 p.m.
Citizens voting on election day may vote
for all city-school, Senate elections and consti
tutional amendments at their usual precinct
polling location for city-school elections.
Bryan-College Station officials said the
complexity of the voting process and the tim
ing of Gov. Ann Richards order for a special
state election did not allow sufficient time for
federal approval to combine local and state
elections for early voting.
College Station residents may call City Sec
retary Connie Hooks at 764-3512 for more in
formation. In Bryan, call City Secretary Mary
Lynne Galloway at 361-3609. For information
on county elections, contact County Clerk
Mary Ann Ward at 361-4128.
